UC Davis based feminist Jonathan Ricin has revealed that “the microbiome is involved in everything”, and has expressed a wish that “everyone should just shut up about it now”.
“Every day I read another paper: ‘microbiome involved in this’, ‘microbiome involved in that’, yada yada yada!” he told us yesterday. “When are people going to learn this is not news anymore?!”
Jonathan, also known as “Phylogenomics”, an ironic attempt at a badomics word, has pioneered studies in bacterial genomics and metagenomics during the last few centuries, but is now “sick” of people “jumping on the bandwagon”.
“The microbiome is yesterday’s news. The bugs are there, they do things, they affect stuff. What else did you expect? Get over it!” he continued. “I’m going to end this once and for all – we’re launching a project, The Beard Microbiome, and once that’s finished, we’re done. Over.”
Jonathan’s beard is seen by many in the field as the last frontier in metagenomics. It is certainly one of the oldest ecosystems in existence.
